work > work on paper (2003-2009)

This work uses simple numeric sequences, planar geometric shapes--circle, square, etc--and an organizing principle such as a grid or an X/Y axis to produce complex, seemingly random patterns. The intention was to see if a simple system employing a minimal visual vocabulary could become so complex as to appear chaotic but remain coherent and stable at the same time.
